Description We are looking to hire a RAN Maintenance Engineer Team Member who will be Responsible for supporting maintenance operations and activities covering the Base Station Subsystem of the Radio Access Network, handling troubleshooting and supporting related problems resolution while ensuring completion in a timely manner and in line with set company’s standards; in order to sustain and improve the performance of the network, in addition to ensuring compliance with safety policies and procedures.
Main tasks will include but will not be limited to:
Monitoring alarms and event logs for GRAN/UTRAN/ E-UTRAN Systems in coordination with related teams; to detect any system errors, outages, failures or network redundancy loss.
Carrying-out troubleshooting activities and identifying GRAN/UTRAN/ E-UTRAN Systems failures root causes, through testing hardware and software, inspecting sites, collecting and analyzing measurements, while using proper and available tools; in order to detect and identify root causes.
Supporting maintenance activities covering GRAN/UTRAN/ E-UTRAN Systems, through identifying required solutions, handling/ following-up-on activities, providing needed equipment, as well as liaising with vendors (if needed), in addition to ensuring proper network operation.
Following-up and monitoring the progress of subcontractors, coordinating their activities and examining their performance and deliverables, regarding various maintenance services related to GRAN/UTRAN/ E-UTRAN Systems, to ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements.
Analyzing and following up on customer complaints to troubleshoot the problem and identify root causes, in addition to developing reports to be communicated with concerned parties in order to take necessary corrective actions.
Participating in the development and implementation of the procedures and standards, covering GRAN/UTRAN/ E-UTRAN Systems troubleshooting and maintenance, in order to maintain and enhance network performance levels and ensure effective and consistent workflows.
Follow up and monitor vendor performance related to open cases, R&R, and normal operation.
Monitor and maintain network hardware performance for GRAN/UTRAN/ E-UTRAN Systems.
Monitor and maintain network KPIs performance for GRAN/UTRAN/ E-UTRAN Systems.
24*7 Hours on call for two weeks per month after official working hours and during weekends and public holidays as per the preset schedule.
Emergency on duty during harsh weather conditions and crises.
Keeping abreast of latest industry technological advancement, through reading manuals, participating in training sessions and contacting vendors.
Daily / Weekly and monthly reports for network alarms, outages, Mute calls and events and follow up any abnormal behavior with related teams.
Complying with safety policies and procedures and assisting in promoting the culture of safety, in order to minimize/ avoid the risk of accidents.
What Do You Need to Qualify The suitable candidate should fit the below requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
– preferred 1 year experience in related field
